What is permanent jewelry?
Permanent Jewelry is custom fit to your wrist and welded shut so it stays on forever (or as long as you want it!). These beautiful bracelets are 14k gold filled or sterling silver and so light and dainty you’ll barely feel them on your wrist.
Did you reach a milestone in life? Did you finally achieve a goal you’ve worked hard for? Is there a significant event in your life that you want to remember for as long as you can remember?
There are many ways to remember these memories, and a forever bracelet would be great. Whenever you look at it, you will be reminded of the good memories linked to this jewelry when you got it.
They make perfect friendship bracelets, bridesmaids gifts, sister-sister or mother-daughter bracelets.
What are the chains made of?
Our chains are made of sterling silver, 14k gold filled, or 14k - meaning they are durable for everyday wear and can last a lifetime.
What is gold - filled?
Gold-filled jewelry is made by mechanically bonding solid gold to a base metal, often sterling silver or brass. The gold layer is significant, and is permanently bonded to the base metal with pressure and intense heat. Because of this permanence, you won’t get any flaking or peeling. If taken care of, gold-filled jewelry can last as long as solid gold. At Toscano Interiors we never use a brass base metal, only sterling silver.
How do I remove the chain?
If you need to remove the chain for any reason, you can simply use a pair of fingernail clippers, or scissors to cut the jump ring - or cut a chain link. We do offer re-welding once for free, and any additional time for a $20 fee.
What if my chain breaks?
Our chains are made of high-quality materials meant to resist everyday wear and tear, yet dainty enough to come off for safety's sake. Any piece of jewelry is susceptible to damage when met with opposing force. If your piece gets snagged or it breaks, we will do our best to repair it for you. Please note, we do not replace or reimburse for lost chains. This jewelry is very durable but, not indestructible. This is especially important to remember for anyone wanting an anklet, as anklets do tend to be less durable from my experience.
Can I change/cancel my appointment?
Once an appointment is scheduled, it can be rescheduled or canceled if the time slot no longer works for you. I ask that you please cancel 24 hours prior to your booked time so that I can open the appointment to other customers.
Do you take walk-ins?
I recommend booking an appointment through our website. Walk-ins are welcome, but I do not guarantee a member of our team will be available to weld at that time. Pop in and see, or phone us at 813-539-2085
Is there a required age?
Anyone 18 and older is welcome to get a permanent piece. We require anyone ages 8 to 17 to have a parent or guardian present. We do not offer permanent pieces to children under the age of 8. Special consideration should be given to permanent style bracelets for children, we are happy to discuss this in person. We reserve the right to decline permanent piece service to anyone, for any reason.
Can I add a charm or Connector to my permanent jewelry piece?
Yes! Our signature Amethyst charm can get added to any piece. Since Permanent Jewelry is always worn and never taken off, we cannot warranty the charms or connectors. Charms don't work well for the duration of the permanent jewelry, so please be advised before making your purchase.
What if I have to cut the chain or it pops off?
Save the chain and we will give you one free reattachment. :) Anything after that costs $20 per attachment. If the chain is not in it's original shape (too stretched out or contains multiple breaks) a new chain will need to be purchased.
Can I go through airport security?
Yes! TSA doesn’t require you to remove fine jewelry when going through security. You should have no problem taking your jewelry along with you on all your travel adventures!
Can I wear it in the shower, pool, ocean, etc.?
Of course! That's the fun of jewelry you never have to take off! Our chains are meant to go through all of life’s fun adventures with you. I have found that sterling styles are prone to oxidation after exposure to pools or hot tubs that are improperly chemically balanced. A gentle wipe with a polishing cloth is all that is required to restore the original sterling shine.
Can I get more than one piece during my appointment?
Our chains are beautiful solo or stacked. We are happy to custom-fit as many jewelry pieces as you wish. Please plan on one (30 minute) appointment per piece, as considering how the pieces layer and move on the body takes a few minutes.
If you are booking for multiple people, each person needs their own time slot.
Do you host private events?
Celebration is my favorite thing, and we cannot wait to celebrate with you and permanent jewelry. Whether a bachelorette, birthday, workplace party, or just a Tuesday, consider me your event planner besties. Because I love a good party, I’ve thought through every detail to make this experience a unique moment that lives with you, kinda like my jewelry. *A non refundable $150 booking fee is due at the time of scheduling
How long does the welding process take?
I book 30 minute slots to allow time to custom fit the chain to your wrist, enjoy a glass of wine - it's an experience I want you to remember. Then use a specialized welding machine to weld the bracelet in seconds. It is simple, fast, painless, and safe.
Who should not get permanent jewelry?
I recommend anyone with a pacemaker, or history of allergy to nickel or precious metals not get a permanent piece.
What happens if I need an MRI or X-ray?
I recommend consulting your doctor or imaging technician for guidance. If removing the jewelry is required, we do offer re-welding once for free and any additional time for a $20 fee.
Can I purchase permanent jewelry as a gift?
Absolutely, I don’t have gift cards specifically for individual services, but you absolutely can purchase a gift card for any service as a gift!
Do you offer additional accessories like charms?
You can personalize your permanent jewelry by adding charms or connectors. Gold filled and sterling silver charms start at $20 and gemstone charms/connectors range from $40- $100.
